Edward Jackson obtained a B.Sc. in Zoology from Leeds University (honours) in 2005 and a master of Science in Analytical Biosciences and Drug Design (distinction) from the University of Salford in 2007 winning the award for best viva.

Edward’s research uses a combination of Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) and synchrotron source based infrared microspectroscopy to study cancer at a cellular level. Ed pursued a PhD degree under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas Lockyer.
