The Gardner group made an impact on the SPEC 2012 conference in Chiang Mai with five oral presentations and three posters. The presentations were well received, although Peter may have disappointed some of the audience by showing how their transflection mode data is seriously flawed (see our paper on the subject).
Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS) inaugural European meeting hosted by Peter Gardner in Manchester was held in the Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre in May 2011.
Manchester was the host city for the international Spec2010 conference.
